The Beatles Rooftop Concert inspired McCartney Stage has been named in honour of its very own superstar and engineered and constructed on the top deck of the actual double decker tour bus that in the Summer of ’72 the Summer Of Wings carried Paul, Linda, Heather, Mary and Stella McCartney, Wings band members, wives and girlfriends to play 25 concerts in 25 cities in 9 countries across Europe in Paul’s first major tour after the glory days of The Beatles. As it made its 7,500 mile journey across Europe with its world-famous superstar on board 1972 Wings Tour Bus was hotly pursued by the world’s media and landed the title of The Most Famous Bus In The World.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary and pivotal 1972 Paul McCartney & Wings Over Europe Tour The McCartney Stage was inspired by The Beatles 1969 Rooftop Concert.
With artwork inspired by The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour & Yellow Submarine the Legend Of Rock & Road’s restoration fulfilled our mission to see it Get Back on The Long & Winding Road.
